Alternatives to Adsense?

Looking for recommendations for an online ad network that's not Adsense.

We're partnering with an organization on a website project that is ad supported. We'd rather not use Adsense because we don't want to mix up our existing account with the partner's site. It's all above board, but not a huge traffic site.

An important aspect is to let this organization have to opportunity to approve all ads before they run on the site (to make sure no competitors or anything else objectional shows up.)

General levels of satisfaction on rates as a publisher and customer service also important.

I've searched through a few past posts but looking for more up-to-date recommendations or resources. Intrigued so far by Adbrite but wondering which other networks to consider.

I'm happy with BlogHer. You don't approve ads individually in the way that Project Wonderful does, but you can ask for certain ads not to be run. They've friendly and always answer my e-mails right away.

I just got banned by AdSense for completely unknown reasons, so I switched my site to Project Wonderful. It really is a better way of doing ads, I've had consistent bids even with a fairly high minimum for my hitcount range. The customer service was very responsive when I had a few questions, and it all just works great. All bids can be subject to pre-approval, its up do you. Also, the ad buyer base seems to skew to the creative side (webcomics, handmade whatever store, etc).

Adbright has an "approve before running" option. Check them out, they are general purpose like adsense, but a little more flexible.
