Where can I buy Lavender Flavor extract for cooking in Manhattan?
I don't cook, and have no idea where to get specialty ingredients like this. It's a gift, and I don't have time to order from the intrawebs.

You also might want to check Aphrodesia, an herb store on Bleecker, a little east of 7th Ave.

Kalustyan's might have something like that. It's conceivable that Dean & Deluca's might as well. You can also buy dried lavender wherever they have bulk spices.

Response by poster: It exists... she sent me a link to online shop, but I've waited too long, and now need to get something quickly.

I was just in NY Cake and Baking today and I heard the owner yell to some guy "are you here for the lavender again?!" So I guess they do have it!

I saw it at Kalustyan's the other day. Almost bought some for ongoing nougat experiments. They have rose essence, rose water and orange blossom water too, if she's REALLY into the floral motif.
