Halloween costume ideas for a blonde and a redhead (both girls)?

I'm looking for a good costume idea for my friend and I. She's a redhead who has been lots of famous redheads in the past (lucy, carrot top, Annie, pippi longstockings, pebble, etc) and I'm a blonde. I'm looking for us to dress up as cartoon characters, relevent pop culture references, historical figures etc. that were blonde and redhead. No suggestion is too obscure! Please let me know what you think! (we've already nixed Lucy and Ethel)

Anyone have a suggestion for who we could be? Some kind of famous blonde/redhead duo, or blonde and redhead from a larger group? For example, we once dressed like the babysitters club characters with a bunch of other people. A few different hair colors and ethnicities are represented there so it's a great idea if you want to dress up with group of friends!

If you have an African-American friend and some leopard-spotted leotards, oh, and some tamborines, you could be "Josie and the Pussycats".

Seconding Buffy and Willow.

If you have a dark haired friend, you could be Betty and Veronica, along with their toughest competition for Archie's affection, Cheryl Blossom.

Thirding Buffy and Willow, that would be awesome/hawt.

Two of the best dressed women on televisions, like, ever? (You really don't need a Peggy....)

I don't have a specific example, but if you can find a character who was both redhead and blond in their careers, you could go as the same person at different stages.

Oooh! I like Johnny's suggestion... Like Lindsay Lohan?

Would you object to a little drag? Can you dance? Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.

And I didn't want to post this, but now that JohnnyGunn has brought up the theme ... "Pretty Woman", before and after.

Supergirl and Batgirl. Or their true identies - Kara Zor-El* and Barbara Gordon.

*Yes, I am aware of Supergirl's complex origin stories. I'm going with current continuity.

I was going to recommend Kei and Yuri, aka The Dirty Pair, but it looks like they are a brunette and a redhead, as opposed to a redhead and a blonde.

Uh, if you insist... you can go as two members of the Black Hearts from the Venture Brothers.

OOooh! Dr. Crusher and Tasha Yar!

(yes, Star Trek, inspired by nooneyouknow's Janeway & Seven of Nine idea)

I'd like to suggest Pam and Angela from "The Office," but they dressed a little too plainly to be immediately noticeable. Their (pre-glam) hairdos in combination with the drab clothing could be familiar enough to fans though. Or if you can find others to be Dwight, et al, that'd work.

I like the Crusher/Yar idea, but do they rent Starfleet outfits?

Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn (or Catwoman) would be good, although Poison Ivy has the dubious honor of only having been portrayed on-screen in "Batman and Robin." But chances are pretty good there'll be a Batman wandering around somewhere this year, so that'd be a good complement.

Don't rule out mixing your metaphors. Maybe pair up Veronica Mars with Dana Scully. But any excuse for someone to dress up as Scully is fine with me...
