Another "specific music recommendations" thread.

Here's a portion of a playlist I've had brewing for a while now, in no particular order. Isolate the emotional theme and extend.

Tunnels (Arcade Fire)
Drive (R.E.M.)
All My Friends (LCD Soundsystem)
No Cars Go (Arcade Fire)
What's In Store (Architecture in Helsinki)

Best answer: This would work better if you could sort of define the emotional theme you are looking for, but I'll give it a shot:

Maximo Park - Karaoke Plays
The National - Fake Empire [and pretty much the whole of Boxer]
Cold War Kids - Hang Me Up to Dry [and a lot of Robbers and Cowards including Hospital Beds]

Was there something you didn't like about our previous recommendations for music that sounds like LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends"?

Best answer: I second The National's Boxer - the day I discovered that album was indeed a great day!

Also, try Augie March (Sunset Studies and Moo, You Bloody Choir) and/or Doves, (Lost Souls is great) oldies but goodies.
