Are multiple DashboardClients bad?

I'm on a 15" MacBook Pro (Intel) and I have 3 instances of DashboardClient showing up in my Activity Monitor; is this a bad thing? Is it sucking up resources? Running 10.5.5. Previously here, but no help.

Best answer: it's supposed to be that way. Multiple dashboard widgets, multiple DashboardClient processes.

(Although according to some sources, Leopard consolidates some widgets into a single process so there won't be a 1:1 relationship between the number of widgets and the number of processes.)

If you don't use Dashboard or you want to see how your system speed/resources are affected, you can turn it off. I use TinkerTool.

I doubt it will make a huge difference on a system as recent as yours though.
