When is W being released?

Oliver Stone's new film W is being released on October 17th. Does anyone know if this a limited release or a nationwide release?
Google provides me with conflicting information, and the official site says nothing more than "Fall 2008". My boyfriend and I are hoping to see the film on opening night in or around Boston... will we be able to do that?

IMDB also shows where. It won't be showing in or around Boston on Oct 17.

How strange - unless I'm doing something wrong with the above link it's telling me I can't see W at any of the many large or small theaters in San Francisco, but it's showing in suburban places like San Bruno and Pleasant Hill? Weird.
