Grecian 2000

Why can't I use Grecian 2000 on my greying beard?
The packet leaflet says it's OK to use on head hair and sideburns but not facial hair. Sideburns ARE facial hair, right? So why not my beard?
I wonder if it can be used *cough* elsewhere on one's body *cough* ?

I cut my male partner's hair and his sideburns grow from / are the same texture as his head hair. Beard, eyebrow, and *cough* elsewhere hair are usually of a coarser texture and do not accept dye, unless it is made for that purpose. According to the FAQs, this would do the trick (and you can even get a free matching nail polish! ;-) )

You can dye beard hair, but the reason they tell you not to is liability I think. Hair dye can be harsh stuff, and they don't want people to put right under their noses. So probably not a good idea unless you can figure out how to avoid inhaling the stuff while you dye.

Grecian makes Grecian5 now for exactly this purpose. I'm guessing yellowbinder is as right as any of us, one of the selling points is "Made with natural ingredients. This gentle formula contains aloe and wheat germ oil, and no harsh ammonia!". Not sure about you, but putting an ammonia-containing dye on my face for 5 minutes would be pretty rough. This stuff, not so bad. Just be careful those 'other places', it'll also stain your skin if you leave it on there long.

Hope this isn't hijacking, but, um, does it really go gray down there?
