how do i get firefox to ask me *again* to remember my password?
sometimes when i'm unsure of a password, i tell the firefox prompt 'not right now' when it asks me if i want it to remember my password. problem is, after i figure out the %@^* password, it never asks me again. i currently keep my passwords in a text file so i can log in to different sites, but i'd much rather have it stored in the browser. thanks in advance for any help.

Best answer: Tools/Options, the Security tab and then the [Saved Passwords] button. Select and remove the entry that Firefox has stored and at your next visit you'll be prompted to save the password.

Best answer: Tools -> Options
Security Tab
Passwords section in the middle of the tab, click the Exceptions button

Response by poster: awesome! thanks y'all. (and i'll most likely do the upgrade to v3 later today.)

Assuming firefox v3
in the menu bar - go to Tools, options, privacy tab
Click the Settings button in the Private Data section and make sure Saved Passwords is checked, then click the Clear Now button

Regarding password storage, consider using a secure password database application like the open-source KeePass.
