Got wood?

There has got to be a place that sells firewood in central Colorado, right?
My friends and I are leaving for our second annual climbing/camping/rafting/beer drinking trip to central Colorado in a few days. Specifically the area around Salida and Buena Vista. Last year we kept our eyes peeled the entire time for any place that sold firewood and the only place we could find was Walmart. The only problem with that is that their "firewood" is just scrap chunks of 2x4's, which makes for a crappy fire and even crappier ambiance sitting around the campfire.
I've searched high and low on the web and I can find firewood places in Canon City and Gunnison, but that's too far to drive. It's hard to believe that there isn't anywhere to get decent firewood in Salida or Buena Vista, so I'm choosing to believe that I'm just not looking in the right place. So, is there anyone from there or that visits there that knows where the locals get their firewood?
Muchas gracias!

You might want to look into whether the open burn restrictions currently in effect are covering Chaffee County. I'm pretty sure they are, and it would prevent you from (legally) having any kind of campfire.

Thanks for the heads up. I just called the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office and as of right now there are no burn restrictions in effect.

I'm sure the same technique could turn up a lot more places if you spend some time.
