How can I disable comments on specific posts in my wordpress blog?
July 16, 2008 9:02 AM

Can any of you recommend a Wordpress plugin that will enable me to turn comments on/off for particular blog posts?

I'm trying to disable commenting on specific blog posts, but only seem to be able to turn them off on all posts. Is there a plugin that will allow me to turn comments on and off as necessary?

And, do you recommend any other comment plugins?

Thanks!

Down at the bottom of the Write Post page should be a checkbox for Allow Comments.

When you're writing (or editing) you can go to "Comments & Pings" and disable them in any given post.

Seems like you have the comment on certain posts thing figured out.

As for other comment plugins, I recommend WP Comment Remix. It makes it a lot easier to reply to comments. The only thing that I think is missing is the ability to e-mail a reply to a comment. But I've been told that's getting worked on.
