Multiplayer FPS for Gamecube recommendations

VideoGameRecommendationFilter: I thought Goldeneye was a great multiplayer game. What first-person-shooter for the Gamecube would y'all recommend as being the most like it and/or the most fun in terms of multiplayer?
The new Goldeneye will have nothing to do with the old one - its just a nice bit of cynical marketing from Electronic Arts.
Timesplitters 2 is pretty good - its made by the same people who made Goldeneye and has ten tons of multiplayer stuff.

Another nod for Timesplitters 2, although I seem to have got more mileage out of the first one... The map builder was a bit more open-ended in the first game, whereas the second gave you complex chunks of rooms to glue together.

Timesplitters 2--definitely. Its first single-player level even contains a homage to the first level of Goldeneye (and the level design is excellent throughout). And its multiplayer is absolutely insane.

I guess it'd have to be TS2. I can't even think of another FPS on Gamecube (that's worth playing), other than Metroid and that doesn't have multiplayer (far as I recall). Of course, a ssoon as I say that I realize there are plenty. I was disappointed by MOH: Rising Sun on PS2, but the multiplayer is still always fun.

Timesplitters2 gives me vertigo--seriously, not cool--but I played it on the xbox.

If you're looking for "friends sit around and blast each other" then the Cube isn't maybe the best choice. It has some great group games (Smash, Double Dash, even Golf) but is weak in the first person shooter genre.

Response by poster: Robocop is bleeding: ah, but I already have the cube.
Will definitely check out timesplitters 2, all; thanks for the idea.
Anything else I should check out?

Super Smash Bros isn't an FPS, but its the best console multiplayer you've ever had (better even than Goldeneye).
