Alternative arts listings similar to NonsenseNYC for other cities?

I'm looking for alternative arts and culture listings in Chicago, Seattle, and Boston, similar to Nonsene NYC.
I subscribe to Nonsense NYC, an email list that provides weekly listings of alternative, indie, offbeat, and otherwise unique events, exhibitions, classes, etc. I was wondering if there are similar resources for other cities around the world. I listed Chicago, Seattle, and Boston because that's where I visit the most, but I'd like to hear about any place.

The Bad at Sports podcast in Chicago, is excellent for all things art.

I don't think it's as "alt" as you're looking for, but the Phoenix is Boston's established alternative newspaper.

Apart from flavorpill and the ists-network as an obvious selection, you need to get to know the burning-man/art-hipster/creative underground community in the city of your choice and ask them.
Perhaps emailing Jeff Stark (search for the jstark email address on the link page), who runs nonsense nyc and ask him? Note that real underground lists are often protected, as they don't want hedgefund douchebags or dangershy noobs appearing at their events and watering down the goodness.
