Window shopping... but I want the display, not the merchandise!

Sourcefilter: I've been seeing large sheets of paper or a paper-like material with cutouts of flowers, animals, and other cutesy designs used as a backdrop in window displays at stores like Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Where can I buy some?

They look sort of like Chinese papercuts but cruder and more free form. The sheets are large (like 8' x 3')and sort of crumpled as if they were folded and cut like a paper snowflake. I've Googled, but I can't get a hit. Please help me find it!

I think you mean this. It comes in a couple of colors, and I've seen them in other places on the web including cb2 in the past.

Flower cut-outs are sort of a signature of artist Tord Boontje; if the decorations aren't actually by him, it might be something mimicking his work. He did do a series of Christmas items for Target one year, so he may have done some stuff for UO/Anthropologie (they're owned by the same corporation).

Yup... that's it exactly pinkbungalow. Looks like it's made of tyvek, which would allow for the crumpledy look. Woohoo! Thanks. It's a pit pricey, but I at least I know where to find it.

A while ago, they were reusing old silk screen mats that were previously used for window displays. At some point, they switched to using new, unused ones.
