VST four-track emulation?

Are there any VST plugins that emulate the lo-fi tone of four track recorders?
I'm looking for a plug-in that'll give my dgital tracks a GBV/Eric's Trip-styled makeover. The lofi plugins I've found rely on undersampling and seemed to be targeted towards electronic music producers. The tape saturation plugins I've come across are warm but not nearly crunchy enough. Is there anything out there that models the characteristics of low end analog recording equipment?

Best answer: iZotope's Trash is awesome for any kind of low-fi work. It's not cheap, but it's amazing in its scope and definitely worth a look...

You're looking for a tape saturation plugin. Good discussion here. Or try a compressor to thicken things up followed by a high-pass filter to attenuate frequencies above about 12-15KHz.

I'd use a compressor to add in the desired crunchiness by juicing up the gain before throwing that to the tape-sat. Maybe both of these could be found in one plugin with the judicious use of 60s style fuzzbox VSTs.
