Handily sync generic mp3 player on mac?

Are there any handy utilities or iTunes plugins to help sync my mp3 player (which appears as simply a mass-storage drive) from my macbook? [Something like a mac version of badapple.]

Best answer: I've used SyncTunes in the past. It runs outside iTunes, and you select what playlist to sync and podcasts y/n. It works all right.

Seconding SyncTunes, which I use to copy music from my iTunes library to my memory card for my mobile phone. It works great!
