Is there such a thing as a dark-colored (black or brown) chair mat? Possibly woodgrain? If so, where can I get one?

Yes, there is.

Dark brown, woodgrain, here.

Black, here.

Oh, neat. I hate those things in their normal state.

Wow, those are pricey compared to the clear plastic kind. Maybe I should have asked if there are any that don't cost a buttload of money.

But I'll probably talk myself into it.

Go to a flooring shop and ask if they have any left-over/spare hardwood. You might be able to find some with a dark stain for cheap/free. Glue it together on some particle board then cut it to the shape you want with a saw when dry.

It's a lot thicker than a regular mat, but looks a lot classier than a plastic one.
