Looking for home on the WWW
April 9, 2008 7:48 PM

My parents are looking for a place to retire in NE North Carolina (i.e. home). Mom asked me to help her search with internet (they have traveled down there several times) so they can narrow things down and get a better feel for the market. I have little idea where to even began searching. Suggestions?

City Data forums would be a good start.

Craigslist has an Eastern NC section that might be useful.

Zillow.com is useful for getting an approximation of what homes are going for in the area.

If they are looking at the Greenville area, The Daily Reflector is the daily newspaper.

What do they mean by NE North Carolina? Can you be more geographically specific?

thanks deepscene...Dec One, I was thinking more in terms of how to even start looking for real estate on the net. My thinking was it would be about the same for anywhere in the States and not geographic specific. It seems I worded the question badly. I think perhaps Pasquotank , Currituck and Dare are the counties that would probably be most desirous.
