Okay, so we've got paper-less offices and video-conferencing, but what are the next big IT/communications developments in business and industry likely to be?

Server-side applications and eventually thin-client virtual desktops. Software hosted and processed on the server instead of downloaded and run from the desktop. Data files on the server as well, available to you wherever you can log in.
