Looking for a small hotel or bed and breakfast in Seattle (or close by, but not in the San Juan Islands), with water views that is romantic. Perhaps within a one hour or so drive of Seattle.

Best answer: The Edgewater Inn has some, er, romantic heritage.

My wife and I stayed at the James House in Port Townsend for our honeymoon. We had a top floor room looking out over the water that was quite nice. Have a nice trip!

Pensione Nichols is an actual B n B, located by Pike Place market. I've never stayed there, but they should have at least some rooms with views across the bay to the cascade mountains.

How do you feel about Gig Harbor, WA? There are some water view type places to stay there. Can't think of any names off the top of my head.
