Storing stuff in Vancouver, BC, self storage or pods??

I must pack up my daughter's Vancouver BC west end studio apartment and store her stuff for around 3 months. Need recommendations - pods or self storage units? Companies to use, conpanies to avoid. (I'm in Seattle)
Plan to hire movers from Craigslist. Any advice graciously appreciated. Need to do this before the end of December. Thanks!
You may want to separate stuff that might not fare too well in a cold or damp environment and store it elsewhere.

I've seen this company's pods outside West End apartments relatively frequently. It certainly has the advantage of making moving back in quite easy. Unless your daughter has access to a large vehicle, making countless trips to a self-storage (or renting a moving truck for the day) can be quite unpleasant.

Seconding that. Even the best storage units are going to be quite damp in the winter (as you're well aware, living in Seattle) and three months in that can do some pretty serious damage. Alternatively, you might be able to have climate-sensitive belongings vacuum bagged.
