Need a ch-ch-ch-change

I've become bored of digg, slate and reddit. I'd like some substitutes (but not too close of substitutes that I get quickly bored again).

I'm going to keep slashdot and metafilter in heavy rotation because the signal/noise ratios are pretty good. I'm open to any suggestions, but it needs to be SFW.

wikitalk.com has a portal, as well as a browser plugin that makes another attempt at the comments-attachted-to-website-without-comment-feature.

Response by poster: A&L is cool, but the stories seem a little too familiar. Popurls is rss heaven, and it used to be my homepage. Maybe I should add it in the mix again.

As for Neatorama, Mental Floss and Morning News: brilliant!

BuzzFeed - can get a bit pop culture heavy
The New Yorker - good for occasional deep reading
Your Daily Awesome - photos, illustrations, and videos
FFFOUND! - like del.icio.us for cool photos and illustrations (occasional art nudity)

Try Hacker News (previously Startup News). Reminiscent of what Reddit used to be.
