I want to broadcast a single desktop to multiple computers for training purposes on our internal network. I looked at VNC, but it looks like that is only one-to-one viewing. Is there any software to accomplish this with a group (8-10 per session)?

Try Netop, which can be used to monitor or control remote pcs as well as broadcasting demos (1-to-many, I've used it with up to 15). Excellent product I've found.

VNC supports multiple connections to the same server. Just set the option to 'Disable (ignore) remote keyboard & pointer' so your trainees don't mess you up. I use UltraVNC, by the way.

And note that if you send connections to a certain port (I forget which one), VNC responds with a Java viewer which keeps you from having to install the VNC viewer on all machines.

I've had great success with eBlvd, both for one-on-one remote control and for broadcasting a desktop. Not free, but cheap, and much easier to set up and administer than VNC.

Pretty much everybody does. PCAnywhere can have several sessions open on the same "server," assuming it has the horsepower. WinXP (Pro or home) with Terminal Services enabled supports 10 simultaneous connections from outside client PCs, and it's free (in the sense that if you've already bought XP you don't have to buy anything else.)

Again, not free, but I have used WebEx many times and have had few complaints. Works fine on a 3 year old laptop that is on its last legs as well.
