Podcast for Semiotics 101? Does this exist?

I would really like to listen to a reputable podcast* on semiotics. Kind of a Semiotics 101 podcast, i.e. mainstream academic thought on the subject, not fringe opinions.

Direct me?

It doesn't look such an animal exists. I found a podcast episode about a topic in semiotics, but it was in Danish. But a regular podcast about semiotics seems a tall order.

If you are looking to get a grounding in semiotics, consider reading the wikipedia entry and then do some reference chasing. It looks like Daniel Chandler's Semiotics for Beginners is a well-regarded site.

Alternatively, half a bottle of whiskey and that song "Signs" on repeat ought to do the trick. Good luck and have fun.
