Feed my children (in Fredericksburg)

Fredericksburg, VA: need recommendations for a great restaurant that will take a group of 60 for casual dining. They're all, gulp, middle-schoolers, if that makes any difference.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for? How about Round Table Pizza? They're known to take large reservations and host parties, especially for large groups of kids.

Oops, just checked, there aren't any Round Table Pizzas in Fredericksburg. Sorry! Try looking for similar pizza chains around, however!

I live in the area and I am having a hard time thinking of somewhere that could accomodate your group. The best I can come up with is Liberty Lanes Bowling Center (there's one in Massaponax and one in Stafford, so they are on either side of Fred'Burg). I think they both have fairly large rooms you can reserve and maybe do a pizza party type thing.

Other than that maybe CiCI's pizza (all you can eat for one price!) on Route 3, but a group of 60 might be too much for them.

First of all, great restaurant and Fredericksburg are sort of mutually exclusive. CiCi's Pizza is cheap, although I'm not sure if they can handle that size crowd. Ryan's in Central Park could probably handle it, especially if you are flexible on time and avoid the busy hours. It has the benefit of a buffet to handle the various food preferences. Although I personally hate the place, I often see the tour buses stopped at Old Country Buffet, so I imagine they can handle 60 kids in a party.

Another thought might be to avoid a restaurant and think about where you could have food brought in. Any pizza delivery joint could do pizza for 60 with a few days warning.

Whatever you do, can you let us know so I can make sure I avoid it. I don't want to be anywhere near that crowd ;)

Best answer: You might try calling local tour groups esp. those out of D.C., as they specialize in taking care of the needs of 8th graders on their annual trip. Google "student tours" d.c. and you'll get quite a few to choose from. I can't remember the group we took our tour with when I took 60 8th graders a few years back, but others will know how to help you. We ate at various pizza buffet places, a few food courts in the basements of buildings, etc., as well as one or two decent sit-down restaurants.

Buffets: Old Country, Cici's, King's International, Ryan's.

Other than that I can't think of any restaurant in Fredericksburg that could deal with that large of group of children at one time. In fact, that might be a bit too much for Cici's.
