Is Annie Stoner Fake?
September 9, 2007 2:02 PM

(LINKS NSFW) I came across these images of Annie Stoner while searching Flickr's iphone wallpaper group. People seem to rave about her body but to me it looks absurdly fake. A cut and paste job for sure. Here's her home page. and another example of what I'm talking about. Am I wrong about this? Have I gone insane? Am I so old that I don't know a real woman when I see one? Help me make the world go the right way. (ALL IMAGES NSFW)

The first and third link look pretty fake to me. Especially the third one. Her face look pasted on someone else's body, and/or it's just an incredibly bad airbrushing job.

Chatfilter?

I don't know. Yes, she airbrushes herself. Badly. Welcome to erotica.

Also, some of us testicle-bearing individuals drool (and comment) over anything that has breasts. Welcome to the Internet.

Her teeth look real. Ugh.

She looks like someone who could be a body model, since he face isn't exactly model-quality. That said, the photos do look very airbrushed, which doesn't mean she doesn't have a tight body, but blemishes may have been edited out. Bad airbrushing, at that.

Looks fake to me as well. Most of them look like someone's head pasted on a different body. The heads never look right.

I think her head looks awfully fake in this one.
posted by rancidchickn at 2:17 PM on September 9, 2007

Clarification: As someone who uses photoshop on a regular bases, I'm interested in how you discern whether something is "real" or not, in paticular the ratio of her head to the rest of her body.
posted by captainscared at 2:18 PM on September 9, 2007

I use Photoshop, GIMP, and other image software fairly regularly, and if someone uses those programs badly, then the editing can be very obvious.

In these pictures, the relative size of her head to her body seems to shift. It makes the whole thing suspect. (Not to mention the ridiculously obvious airbrushing of her body.)
posted by cmgonzalez at 2:21 PM on September 9, 2007

What gives it away, despite the proportional shift between the head and the body in various photographs, are the completely disparate lighting angles in the head and body. Her hair looks like it was taken by a completely different camera in a completely different room with poor lighting. The hair gives it away, as the complexity of hair depth and texture in different lighting is sort of hard to fake.

In any case, girlfriend needs to ease up on the blur tool. She looks like a scary doll.

You know, I think it might be real, but she so heavily retouches the photos it is hard to tell.
posted by geoff. at 2:32 PM on September 9, 2007

The head angle is decidely off in a few, and in a few others her head appears *way* too small for her body. It's too funny that no flickrites are questioning this or commenting on it. I guess they don't really care as long as they keep getting boobies.

This photo seems to have been photoshopped using the face from this photo. Look at the bangs - exactly the same. Looks like she just made the face smaller and blurred it. Noted because she uploaded them at the same time and they were right next to each other in her stream.
posted by iconomy at 2:36 PM on September 9, 2007

Yes. Absolutely. She may be a real person, i.e., maybe that face is her, but that face does not belong to any of those bodies.

I am sure someone with some access to more stock photography than me could find the source to most of these pictures.
posted by blacklite at 2:37 PM on September 9, 2007

Yeah, she is pasting her head on other people's bodies, and not doing an awful job of it too. The first guess would be that it's some insecure girl pasting her head on models in order to get some complements, but you don't really need to be that hot to get compliments on your naked pictures on flickr.

So instaid I think it could be some obsessive guy making photos of some girl he has a 'crush' on and posting them on flickr. super-creepy.

I agree that this is her face on someone else's body. I can't believe no one has said anything on her comments about it.

If anyone finds the original pictures of the original model, please link it on this page :)

What would be sad is if these photos were totally real but she is just cursed with a really weird head.

A really weird blurry head?

having absolutely no airbrushing experience or photoshop time, my expert opinion just thinks it just looks a little off...

lighting is a good indicator but also the forced perspectives. very badly done fakes all around.
posted by krautland at 3:19 PM on September 9, 2007

I've been working with photoshop several hours a day for the last 10 years or so, also canceling moles, facial and body hair and pimples (yessire, pimples) from various remarkable and widely accepted paradigms of feminine beauty, so... her face is almost always at a weird angle with the neck and/or the body, lighting and tone on the face is rarely matching the rest of the picture, and the face varies in proportion to the body of the different models. I could pass as 'dubious' on a couple of pictures, no more. Funny that her teeth are never corrected.

Last (but most disturbing to me) the heavy smoothing on the skin makes the result look like a wax statue but, hey, in this day and age people get off on Second-Life puppets, so who am I to question?
posted by _dario at 3:21 PM on September 9, 2007

Some of them do look real.

Looks to me like maybe she's got a nice body but doesn't like the look of her face, so pastes on some good face pictures over actual shots of her. I say this, because if you look through the shots of her, you'll ese some where she's fully clothed but still pastes another face over the picture. Sort of strange.

Dude, these are so obviously doctored, it's funny that we're even talking about this.
posted by Cool Papa Bell at 3:34 PM on September 9, 2007

One thing I meant to mention ... one of the ways you can tell this is doctoring is the extreme variety of camera and lighting styles, hair and clothing styles, etc. These are doctored shots using other images from different timeframes and environments. Some are professional shots, some are amateur snapshots. It's a grab-bag from Google images.
posted by Cool Papa Bell at 3:36 PM on September 9, 2007

I agree with FortyT-wo that those two look real, but I'm not convinced that the rest are her body. Her arms look way skinnier in these two "real" ones than in the more fake looking ones. Whoever her amatuer photoshop artist is hasn't learned how to do teeth yet.
posted by clh at 3:36 PM on September 9, 2007

They're no more 'chopped than most anything you'd see on a magazine in a grocery-store checkout aisle. Some of them, probably less.

Only difference is that they're badly done and you can tell they're fake.

Is that extreme airbrushing? On the first photo from captainscared? It looks like something out of WoW or Second Life. I don't actually believe that's a real body.

I'm going with fake. Somebody's head on somebody else's body. The Annie Stoner 002 photo has a weird blurry thing happening at her neck area.
posted by who squared at 3:49 PM on September 9, 2007

FortyT-wo, you're saying she pastes her own head on her own body?
posted by who squared at 3:51 PM on September 9, 2007

Looks like the fakeness of her photos has been discussed before. Start with the comment from lagwardia.
posted by iconomy at 3:57 PM on September 9, 2007

My guess is that there's someone's idea of a joke involved somewhere. Maybe Annie is someone's ex, or just a girl that some guys think is hot and thought it would be fun to dick around with these photos. Or someone wants to see what kind of interest they can generate with bad photoshop nudie pics.

Unfortunately, I think there's a good chance the girl who's face is in those "photos" has no idea that she's on the intertubes attached to that nekkid body...

Same face in two photos again. One Two

No captainscared, you are not insane, and apparently you still can recognize a real woman when you see one.

Something amiss with the ear/jaw line and hair on this one too.

The notes on the pictures are killing me.

The hair on her neck isn't the same shade or style as the hair on her head.

I'm assuming she's an artist who does this as a part of a series.

Iconomy's first link has a discussion in which it's stated that all comments suggesting fakery are indeed deleted.

Wonder if she'll figure this one out?

Not that it matters terribly. Both Annie and the masturbaters are probably much happier believing.

omg, what the hell is with her crotch? The deformed way her head sits on her body points to obvious fakery for me. I wonder what she looks like in real life.

Yeah a lot of these photos are gone. Still you can see some great (!) photoshopping of faces onto bodies on her website The photos down the bottom of the page (especially the one in which she's standing playing the guitar) are obviously photoshopped.

RealDoll was my first thought.

Extreme airbrushing that flattens out the cheeks and the areas under the eyes, like in this picture, always creeps me out.

Although, all things considered, it's the least creepy thing about the picture.
