Hyper-realistic fruits and veggies?

I am looking for hyper-realistic photographs, paintings or prints of fruits and vegetables. I'm looking for vibrant colors; even high gloss would be great. Can you point me toward the Chuck Close of produce?

Stock.xchange is a free stock photo site with all kinds of things, including produce.

Early Chuck Close, late Chuck Close, post-quadriplegic Chuck Close? Do you just want good photographs of produce? I imagine any stock photography site will do for that. I even took some nice photos of wild blueberries the other day which I'd be happy to share for non-for-profit use.

I don't know who Chuck Close is but how do you feel about HDR photos? You could go to this Flickr group and put search terms like "apple" in the search box, you'll find stuff like this. Or just put stuff like "HDR carrot" into the regular Flickr search.

Response by poster: I'm looking more for art than I am stock photos (hence the Chuck Close reference), but am not averse to photography in general. I want to decorate my kitchen/dining room with an austere gallery feel. Some of these suggestions already present a great interim solution though, so thank you.

I love these.

They're by a photographer named Ranjit Bhatnagar. He has a wonderful series of photos at the Atlantic/Pacific subway stop in Brooklyn.

More on flickr. I believe he sells these images too.

Probably not what you're looking for, but your question reminded me of the works of Arcimboldo.

Irving Penn is one of the world's most famous photographers. Here are some still lifes with fruit and vegetables.
