DC doctors - your personal recommendations?

Please give me suggestions for DC area doctors. I have seen this question (http://ask.metafilter.com/20846/Washington-DC-doctor-recommendations) but I'm really looking for DC mefites' personal recommendations.

Especially looking for primary care, dentists, gyn, dermatologist, hematologist.

Go through your insurance companies. We can recc doctors, but they may not accept your insurance or may be available by doctor's referral only.

Response by poster: My insurance isn't generally a problem. I have the names of plenty of doctors - I'm trying to pick a good one from among those names. I don't believe my insurance company ranks doctors, or makes reviews of doctors available - that's the sort of personal response I'm looking for.

Best answer: I love all of my doctors:

Maria Natividad for primary care. 703-527-6077 Office is near Ballston/VA Square in Arlington
LaReine Sabella for gyn. McLean. Her office staff is not that great but she's worth it. 703-556-0776
Bruce Hanley is my dentist. Arlington near Glebe Rd./Lee Hwy. 703-524-7100
Alicia Braun is my dermatologist. F St. near GWU. 202.293.7618

I recommend my docs:

Dr. Shelley Williams, 8241 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring (301) 589-9333 (primary care)

Dr. Neena Bhatti 121 Congressional Lane Suite 312, 20852 (301) 881-3171 Allergist

Dr. Purnima Sau 8630 Fenton Street Suite 906, Silver Spring MD (301) 565-3699.

I don't recommend my dentist or OB-GYN, so I won't give you those names. :)

For what it's worth, I've lived in DC for 7 years now and found that the best docs outside of the hospitals (GW Hospital is amazing) are not located inside the city. Most of my docs are in Silver Spring, right off the metro, so it's not a horrible commute, but well worth the much better care vs. Docs I've had inside DC (they've either been shady/scary or ridiculously expensive/bad about taking insurance).

Whoops. Dr. Sau is a dermatologist.

I go to General Internal Medicine Group in Ballston. I actually usually see Lauren, the PA, but the doctors are good, too. My favorite thing about them is that they're always on time, I've never had to wait. Oh, and I got them as a recommendation from MeFi.
