How do you

When someone says "take it to MetaTalk" during a thread, how exactly are you supposed to do this?
Do you just make a new post in MetaTalk, and hope the person you are quibbling with (the most common reason people get told to scram) sees it?
Do you post a link to the MetaTalk thread on the offending MeFi thread? (or does that risk even more scorn?)
And does this mean that back-and-forth quibble-fests are okay on MetaTalk?
I'm really confused by this.

This post was deleted for the following reason: This, just as posted, would be fine as a Metatalk post. Please take it to Metatalk.
