What movie is this from (if any)?

Anyone know what movie this prop is from?

I should say: it's supposed to be from a movie. This guy's grandfather (someone I don't know) was commissioned to make it ages ago for a movie and he has no idea what movie its from (neither do I).

Thanks.

For some reason my brain immediately cried out, "X-Files! The movie!"

I don't know whether my brain knows something I don't, but hey, it was the first thing to pop into my head, so maybe there's something to it.

Wait, when you say ages ago, what exactly do you mean?

Can "this guy" find out if the grandfather worked for a certain special effects company? That could narrow things down by using IMDB. I can't really tell anything from the photo you've posted. Can you link other, larger pics too?

Pretty sure it's not XFiles for the Indiana Jones movie.

It looks like a mummified human (or pre-human)...

Well, yeah, there's that whole part in X-Files where the Neanderthal-types stumble upon the black virus thing and later are found and a sort of autopsy is performed on their skeleton-esque corpses, which is what triggered the memory, mayhap.

Reminds me of the little pygmy guys in the second Mummy movie. Johnathan hides from them in some graveyard with statues strewn around, too.

Perhaps The Hunger which has some monkeys rapidly age and shrivel. It's from 1983
