Looking to Abuse my Mac, Bungie-style

Does anyone know where to find a copy of Bungie's classic game Abuse? It seems they made it available for free download and someone promptly made an SDL/OS X port, but all the links from the project page are dead.

Best answer: Googling the filename "abuse_sdl-0.7.0.tar.gz" reveals a directory with said file in it. It's downloadable.

Also -- there's an Abuse 2? Just thought you'd want to know.

Best answer: Oh, also, this is a comprehensive site: Abuse Resourcez, and also another forum discussing the game.

If we're thinking of the same game, Abuse was made by Crack dot Com, was it not?

Oh, man, Abuse killed my productivity back in '99 like MetaFilter does now.

If my bosses fire me it's your fault.

suedehead, that's a really clever trick. I'll have to remember it.

Yes, but it was also ported to the Mac by Bungie. That's where I first heard of it anyways.

You can also install debian, and apt-get the source and binaries.

Response by poster: Suedehead: that's it, thanks a ton. :D

Koudelka: I asked about the OS X port and mentioned my Mac in the subject line. I think it should be obvious I have no intention of installing Debian. (Or else I'd have done that.)
