Service of Process: I'm going to be serving legal papers later this week, as I have never done this before I am curious as to what I should say, and what are some things should I expect?

Call your local police department, and a lawyer regarding what is considered proper service in your jurisdiction. Is this for a third party?

anathema is right. Just one error in form, and the service is invalid and the case goes down the tubes with it.

Response by poster: It's for a third party yes, all the paperwork is already taken care of I just have to serve it, and fill out the form (and of course have them sign it)... is it that simple?

I've done it just walk up ask if they are the person and hand the papers and walk away. By the time they figure out what it is your gone. If you need to get tricky dress up as a pizza delivery guy or tell them your with a courier company. It's really that easy.
