I've used NamesPro successfully ... all the other registrars I've tried gave me a hard time. posted by DrSkrud at 1:54 PM on February 28, 2007 [2 favorites]
I've used namespro.ca for the last two years. No hiccups yet (that I'm aware of, anyway.) $12.88 CDN a year. posted by cgg at 1:55 PM on February 28, 2007

My mother has had a few domains registered through Domainsatcost.ca for a couple years and there haven't been any problems with them. posted by benign at 2:14 PM on February 28, 2007
I use Canaca.com and have had no problems. But namespro does seem to have better prices, at least for .ca. posted by Dasein at 3:14 PM on February 28, 2007
thanks again, folks - I went with NamesPro. It turns out that they're local, too.
I guess if I have any problems I can head down there and get them dealt with in person. posted by heeeraldo at 3:29 PM on February 28, 2007
I'm curious, why did you specifically want a Canadian registrar?
For what it's worth to others, Tucows is Canadian, but they don't deal directly with consumers except through DomainDirect. posted by FlamingBore at 7:21 PM on February 28, 2007
I use netfirms.ca. posted by dobbs at 8:09 PM on February 28, 2007
I've used www.sibername.com for both domain and hosting and found them to be much better than godaddy. (if that says much) posted by Sonic_Molson at 9:59 PM on February 28, 2007
FB: I wanted .ca domains, so it had to be a CIRA verified registrar. posted by heeeraldo at 12:04 AM on March 1, 2007
I've been a happy EasyDNS customer for more than four years. They are CIRA certified. posted by SomePerlGeek at 10:17 AM on March 1, 2007
Second for domainsatcost, even though the job is already done. I have a number of domains registered there (.ca and otherwise) and have been pleased with their service and customer support when I needed it. posted by danwalker at 11:38 AM on March 1, 2007
heeeraldo - had a feeling that might be the case. For future reference here is the link to the list of .ca registrars. posted by FlamingBore at 7:08 PM on March 1, 2007
