Name That Book

Name That Book Filter: I recall a book that was based on the eloquence and development of a scale. I believe it was about the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane scale... Maybe the Richter Scale. Did I just imagine this book? If not, what is the title author of said book?

The book is "Defining the Wind" by Scott Huler. I've never read it, but I've seen it in the bargain section the last 4 or 5 trips I've made to the bookstore.

And, as I should have mentioned, the scale is the Beaufort wind force scale.
