How can I play old Mac games on my Intel iMac?

How can I play old Mac games (for Systems 7 through 9) on my Intel iMac?

I have an itch to play some old Mac games—Scarab of Ra, Crystal Quest, and Short Circuit, for example. I suspect I'll need to run an emulator but the emulators I've found so far require a ROM from the actual Mac, which I don't have. What other options do I have? I'm running OS 10.4.8. Thanks!

I've not done it myself, but I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is SheepShaver. Googling for 'sheepshaver intel' returns quite a few results. Here are a couple to get you started: MacMegasite and The Apple Blog.

Oh, and as for the ROM... It's going to be necessary pretty much no matter what. Try some creative Googling.

Funny, I was just remembering Harry the Handsome Executive earlier today. I hope this thread finds you a solution, cause I'd love to play that again.
