When function keys go bad

Is it possible to totally or selectively disable keyboard shortcuts in Google Talk? A hyperactive F11 key likes to initiate unwanted voice calls. Irritating!
Do you find yourself using the F11 key for other programs? If it's just a cheap desktop keyboard, you could just pull the F11 key off (and snap it back in later if you found you needed it). I pulled the F1 key off mine because it brings up the help menu in Excel when I accidentally hit F1 instead of the F2 key, which I use extensively.

another possibility is to install autohotkey; you can then write a short script to disable your F11 key. put that script in your startup folder and your F11 key will never trouble you again.
if you decide to go this route let me know and i believe i can write the AHK script for you; it should only be a single line.

Response by poster: artdrectr: I'm asking about the Google Talk application, not the gmail web-chat feature; Gmail settings don't seem to affect Google Talk.
mullacc: unfortunately, this is due to a broken keyboard, and the key is actuated by pressing other keys, specifically, the L key.
Sorry everybody, I should have been more explicit.
