Recommend an LCD monitor.

I'm looking for a glossy, high-brightness LCD monitor.
I currently have an "X-BRITE" Sony SDM-HS75P/B. I really like the glossy and bright (400 cd/m2) screen. Sony's getting out of the monitor business and everything else I've looked looks dull in comparison. Can anybody recommend a monitor with similar specs, preferably 20" or greater? (I don't particularly care about widescreen or not.)

They look great on the sales floor, but in my experience they are harder on the eyes.
I understand that a lot of people feel that way. I've been happily using the Sony for over a year now, so that's not my experience.
The only non-Sony non-laptop monitor that I know if with something like X-BRITE is the NEC LCD1970GX, which also appears to be discontinued. I'm hoping someone knows of others.

I've only had issues with glossy screens when the lighting is fluorescent - which is most offices (and nowadays with many compact fluorescents, many homes.)

Mine is NEC, about 2 years old, not sure what model, probably same or similar to AS's recommendation. It cost around 700$, but worth it. At that time, the only glossy ones were very high end, but I bought it for graphics and it does the job.

I've really only got good things to say about it, actually; it's a wonderful monitor.
