How do I open Mozilla tabs that load the last visited webpage?

How do I open a new tab in Mozilla that opens up with the most recent webpage?

For instance, right now, when I press ctrl+t, it opens a new tab that is blank. I'm trying to open tabs that automatically load with the current webpage. This way I can open a lot of tabs w/ the same page quickly, instead of opening tabs and copying and pasting the URL to each one.

Anyone know how to do this?

Bonus question: how do I open a new tab that automatically loads my homepage?

Best answer: Install the Tab Mix Plus Add-on for both questions.

Then go to Tools - Tab Mix Plus Options - Events and select what you want to load on new tabs (Blank, Home, Current...).

I know that there is an add-in that will duplicate the current tab including the history of it. Here is a link to the add-in. I use it a lot!!!

I was too slow and nkyad has the all encompassing add-in.

no add-ons required.

Just CTRL-SHIFT-T

I know this is besides the point and not an answer at all, but I am curious as to why you would want multiple tabs of the same site open?

Especially for threaded discussions, it is often helpful to be able to refer to something you read a few pages ago.

You see, you not only copy the page in a new tab, but the history as well. Let's say I was in the middle of writing this post, and wanted to include info that I saw two pages back; I can open a new tab and navigate two back in the new one to find the link or quote I need.

Cheers

By the by, copying and pasting URLs when creating new tabs is really fast, even without a plugin. I mean, how fast can you press CTRL-T CTRL-V? Seems quick to me, but I suppose you might be wanting to open three dozen of the tabs, or you might be doing this often...

Ctrl-H, right-click the page of interest, select open in new tab.
