Odd couples?
December 4, 2006 9:34 AM
Inspired by this photo of Walt Disney, Richard Nixon, and Art Linkletter, I'm looking for more photos of odd celebrity pairings.
I'm especially interested in finding photos that the average person has not seen before (Nixon and Disney as opposed to Nixon and Elvis). Tiger Woods and Pope Benedict, Rumsfeld and Clay Aiken, that sort of thing. Do you know where I can find any such thing? Links would be great.

Alice Cooper and Salvador Dali?
What the hell's so odd about that? ;)

I noticed that any photo with Nixon and (other famous person) looks odd. Like Nixon and Bob Hope, Nixon with Pele, and so on...

Nixon and Prescott Bush.
Prescott is George H.W.'s father and George W.'s grandfather.

It's not an odd celebrity pairing, but the photo of the 1927 Solvay conference has always amazed me. The young fellow in the middle of the front row is Einstein. You've also got Schrodinger, Pauli, Heisenberg, Dirac, de Broglie, Bohr, Planck, Curie and Lorentz among others. The photographer's IQ probably went up 20 points just by taking the picture.

There's a photo of B.B. King and Pope John Paul II out there somewhere... my Google-Fu has failed.

Manute Bol, Olga Korbut, and William "The Refrigerator" Perry
Manute Bol (7'7") and Muggsy Bogues (5'3")
I'm not as big of a Manute Bol fan as this answer makes me sound.

I like the odd, official pairings, e.g.:
The Ava Rooneys
The Marilyn Millers
The Julia Lovetts

It's a terrible photo (you may be able to find a better one), but it's my all-time favorite celebrity crossing-of-paths: Jayne Mansfield and Anton LaVey.

Thanks, everyone. This is a little subjective so I am just going to mark as best the ones I thought were excellent, but I appreciate all the responses (except those who didn't read [more inside]!).
