International EVDO Coverage

I am seeking a company that offers EVDO service with coverage in Brazil.
I am also open to any other technologies that provide a wireless broadband service.
I know Vivo (a Brazilian cell phone company) offers a service called Zap 3G, but I would prefer not to deal with a Brazilian company. Ideally seeking a American company that has a roaming agreement.

Brazil like most countries uses GSM technology. You're not going to have much luck with EVDO as it is CDMA.
You're best bet would be to look into T-Mobile or Cingular. However, the data roaming rates are expensive.

In terms of roaming offerings from U.S. companies, the closest I know of right now is a plan that does NOT yet serve Brazil but is described as "expanding"; see the middle of this pcmag.com article.
If you're living in one place in Brazil (rather than traveling around), try googling satellite internet; that might be your cheapest option.
