How can I export data from SQL Server 2000 to QuarkXPress using ColdFusion?

What's the best way to export data from a SQL Server 2000 database into QuarkXPress 4.11 using ColdFusion 5? [more inside]

I'm considering either the XData and XCatalog XTensions from Em Software, tagging the data with XPress tags, or XML (which I don't have much experience with).
