Yahoo! Messenger: Problem logging in

I can't log into Yahoo Messenger. When I try to log in, the message "There was a problem signing into Yahoo! Messenger with Voice (BETA). Please try again a little bit later." That's been going on for two days now. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix the problem so I can log into YM?

I would try uninstalling Yahoo! Messenger & re-installing it. I use Yahoo! Messenger and haven't had this problem recently.

If you have one, try restarting your router.

You might want to try to see if a third-party client works. Both GAIM and Trillian support YIM. You'd know if it was the client itself acting weird or it was something outside of your computer, either your network or Yahoo's.

Best answer: If you don't want to or have the ability to install software, you could also try your login through a site like meebo.com. From there the troubleshooting steps would be trying a different computer, trying a computer in a different network, etc. Also, check to see if you can log in to Yahoo's regular services with your username and password just to make sure there's not something hinky going on with your account and/or your password. If you can log in there, consider changing your password and using that new password with YIM in case somehow the password file it used has gotten corrupted.
