Lost childhood filter: balsa wood gliders

Anyone have ideas for a retail chain (I'm thinking something like Walgreens, omnipresent in most of the US) where I can buy those fantastic little balsa wood gliders?
I've checked this AskMeFi thread, and consequently come across this UK-based seller, but I was hoping for something I could simply go purchase (in quantities less than 500, which specialty-imprint companies seem to think is a reasonable minimum).
I very fondly remember playing with them for countless hours, and would like my own son to enjoy them, too. Only without the bottle rockets attached to the fuselage.

i bet a crafts store like Michael's or Joann's would have them.

Most of the grocery stores around here still sell them in the "Toys" section.

The manufacturer that you're looking for is Guillows. Using that you can find a number of online retailers that carry them.

Man, those were fun. I'd reccomend checking out Whitewings, too - like balsa wood gliders, but a little more grown up.
Not much more grown up, though. I mean, they're still toys.

I too love these little delights. I have seen them at Toys-R-Us and Target, but they don't always carry them. Any good hobby or craft store will have them. Other places such as drug stores are hit or miss. Froogle shows tons of choices.
