Show Me the Way to a New Mousepad

My mousepad is in its last throes. Help me find a new one that has some pizzazz. Something unusual or perhaps one like yours. Extra points for anything geeky, retro, or tattoo culture oriented. Much obliged.
"High performance" mousepads:
Radpadz
Steelpad 4D
The performance benefits are dubious (super accurate! maximizes grip! low drag coefficient!), but it's definitely geek chic. Personally, though, I just use the table.

Who uses a mousepad anymore now that all the mice are optical? Back in the olden days before optical mice I think a swatch of leather made a very nice mousepad.

I have a MouseRug. It looks like an oriental rug. I also have an optical mouse, so it's not like I need it. But I love it. Heh.

I use a sheet of copier paper, on which I take make notes. When the sheet is too full of notes to hold any more it's usually also wearing out for mousepad service, and I replace it.

Best gaming mousepad
A uniform surface for consistent movement, with a little bit of friction for control. Allows for very precise and accurate movements.

CafePress, and I'm sure other companies as well, will put whatever you want (within their content guidelines--no logos/trademarks, no celebrities, etc.) on a mousepad.

I picked up a MouseRug - I've liked them for years, and finally decided I needed a new mouse pad to go with my new laptop.
One note though - check your mouse before you buy one. Although my wired optical mouse works fine, I was crushed to find out that my Bluetooth wireless mouse doesn't work on the MouseRug. Don't know why - seems to go to sleep too fast, and then doesn't get enough feedback from the rug to wake up again until I shake it. Makes working a pain. I ended up using the MouseRug at home, rather than at work - still a nice-looking mousepad, but it would have looked much more stylish in my office...

Your favorite image — Wal-Mart Photo Mousepads (with your photo), $8.95; DIY with iron-on transfers; and photo insert mousepads.
Cheesy — the Better Mousetrap Mousepad (via Cafe Press.)
Geeky — the backlit LED Mouse Pad with USB Hub.

I'm not much of a gamer anymore, but I LOVE my ratzpad... it's ginormous, is nice and slick with a textured top to keep the optical sensor happy.
Also, I have an alienware one (won it @ a lan party years back) that has stuck with me, it was two parts, a rubber base and a two-sided plastic piece... one that was very fine and offered a LOT of control, and the other that was bumpier but had much less friction... it was also thin enough that I could stick it between my screen and keyboard on my laptop, protecting me from the dreaded Finger Grease on the LCD Disease.
Neither are flashy, neat, or make any type of statement (Well, the ratzpad might make a statement, its pretty heavy-duty... I've honestly stood on the thing and it didn't break... damn messy dorm room)

If you're doing the cafe press thing, this image on a mousepad would be fairly awesome.
Also, I'm pretty sure a mefite owns that t-shirt site, although I can't recall who. Good work, unnamed mefite! You rock my socks.
