Looking for a design class anywhere in the world

Please help me help my ex girlfriend find a design class for 2-10 weeks anywhere in the world.
My ex girlfriend wants to travel and at the same time improve her chances of getting into a design school here in Denmark.
So she is looking for a design class or workshop for 2-10 weeks anywhere in the world. The subject could be anything from basic skills such as drawing, photography or silkscreen to a wider insight into graphic design, design culture or design history.
The class should take place some time between September 2006 and March 2007 and be taught in English.
Also, she would prefer it if the total cost of the class including living expenses (but excluding travel) is less than $5000.
Any suggestions or ideas about where to look?

Check out Art Center College of Design's Art Center at Night (and Day) program. The College itself is based out of Pasadena (in Los Angeles), but they do Art Center at Night classes in New York, San Francisco and Orange County. The program is pretty well-regarded, although Art Center has a reputation as more of a technical school rather than theory-oriented, if that makes a difference.
