Share the music love (in a limited way)
June 4, 2024 8:18 PM

I am teaching a (free) dance sampler class this summer, using a variety of styles of music. I'd like class participants to have access to the music I use in class, to listen to outside of class. I can go as old-school as burning cds if necessary, but would prefer a digital solution. What's the best way to do this?

additional details:

- There will be about a dozen participants.

- I have a Mac laptop and an Ipad, but I do not own or use a smartphone.

- I own all the music legally. It's currently in an Itunes/Apple Music playlist.

Thanks for any suggestions you can send my way!

If the tracks are available, a Spotify or YouTube playlist? There are ads for non-subscribers, but the playlist route doesn’t run any risk of copyright issues, and can be shared digitally with ease. Both Spotify and YouTube can be accessed via the browser, so no need for apps on smartphones.

For your own personal use - it is unlikely that you own it for commercial use, which is what you are proposing. Also, it is many years since I’ve owned a device I could use to listen to a CD…So yes, playlist.
