Single-size boxes of smaller fabric bandaids as good as name brand?
May 27, 2024 7:08 PM

Our go-to bandaid is the band-aid name brand flexible fabric strip 1"x3" size. I would love to buy single boxes of smaller sizes (such as 5/8" wide, and maybe even smaller ones for punctures and such). I've generally only been able to find variety packs of the name brand ones and in the past we've had bad luck with other brands—they just haven't been as nice and don't stick as well. Any suggestions for sources that have many sizes and are as good as the band-aid ones?

I've never had issues with TopCare, which is the "generic" version at a lot of stores.

A lot of times you can get quality off-brand Bandaids in quantity at Big Lots or dollar stores.

Seconding Welly.

I like Welly both for the "feel" (flexible fabric, good stick) and the fun colors. I grab them when I see them on the clearance shelf at Target.

Curad also has a flexible fabric option with fun colors and good stick.

I love Welly and I think the 100 pack would work well - none of them are huge bandages and the smaller sizes have been very handy: Target link

I also would like a source that includes just little bandages! I think people so far have only been recommending brands that come in assorted sizes, rather than good bandages that you can buy in boxes of single, individual, smaller sizes, right? But I do want to mention that some Welly assortments have my favorite shape, the "adult digit" -- this has one long tail to wrap securely around your finger, very handy!

I actually like Curad bandages better than Band-Aid, mostly because it has adhesive all the way around the pad. They don't seem to make a 5/8" size as a result, but this 3/4" size is probably close enough.

Thirding Curad - I also prefer their fabric bandages over others.
