Bay Area Interior Designer

I would like to hire an interior designer in San Francisco who'll come to my house.

I have a one bedroom with some furniture and miminal art. I'd like to hire an interior designer who will come in person and figure out a few more piece of furniture and some art and other decor. I don't have a strong vision and want someone else to figure this out, make decisions, and know where to buy the stuff. I'd like to spend 5-10 thousand or less on the person's time and the actual items.

You probably know that most interior designers have a minimum job price tag for it to be worth their time. You might consider finding a student who wants to build their portfolio or reconsider doing an online consultation. I did a consultation with The Expert and got a lot out of it.

This was a while ago, but we used an interesting service from Fix Interiors, a one-day project where the designer comes to your home and rearranges what you already have. As I recall she also gave advice about what stuff could be added and where to get it. The company also offers full interior design services. We really liked the results of our little project.

Also, is there someone in your extended network who does this as a hobby or side gig? Ask around, maybe you’ll find someone who can help on the scale you’re looking for.
