How to keep my smut off of Amazon recs

I love me a good smutty novel. And I often buy them off of Amazon. The recommendations that are now appearing on my homepage have... interesting visuals. Is there a way to make them go away and prevent them from coming back?

I am not going to stop using Amazon for the time being. I would love to get ride of the smutty recs currently populating my home page and prevent them from reappearing when buy my next round of delightful literature. I'm not super tech savvy but can draft my spouse if needed.

Best answer: One way, there may be others: Go to the Amazon "Improve your recommendations" page. Each item that you've purchased should have a "use for recommendations" checkmark beside it. Turn off those checkmarks for all the novels in that genre.

(You will, unfortunately, have to do this each time you buy a book that's likely to give you spicier recommendations than you want.)

Best answer: Another option, if you don't want to keep up with marking every book, is to install uBlock Origin into your browser of choice. From there, you can right click on whatever web element is irritating you, select 'Block Element`, and use the picker to remove it completely. You won't see any Amazon recommendations at all if you do that, though.

Best answer: Could you set up a separate Amazon account just for buying smutty books? It could potentially still share the same Prime account since I think there's a way to share a Prime account with other household members. But that way all the purchases and recommendations would be completely separate from your other main Amazon account.
