Where to find hypoallergenic cat trees?

We are looking for a hypoallergenic cat tree. We're having trouble finding a true hypoallergenic cat tree that doesn't have carpet.

We would like something that can be easily cleaned, looks nice, and has a sturdy base. We'd like one high viewing platform, with fewer other platforms. The cat mainly stays at the top in her current tree. Also, an enclosed space at or near the top is especially good. We are looking for a new tree because my spouse is apparently allergic.

Response by poster: Of course, the cat needs platforms to climb us. This is what I get for always doing these questions in a hurry.

I got one of these (TheMauStore) on Etsy and it's great. Wood post, and beds that are baskets. It does have some fluffy fabric stuff covering the base, but you could probably ask them to make it without, and then you could cover it with jute rope, or material of your choice, instead. Or you could just bolt the post to a sturdy coffee table or something.

Just to get the ball rolling on non-carpeted trees, we have something very similar to this. It's wood, sisal rope, and Velcro fleece pads (washable!) on the platforms. There are other configurations by various sellers on Amazon.

I have put Velcro tape on the bottom of a deep sided heated bed to integrate with the tree and it's a big hit.

I see these all the time...the key word seems to be "modern" cat tree.

Best answer: We have a Lotus cat tower - have had it for 16 years. The one we have does have low pile carpeted pads (like office carpeting?) for kitty to lay on - it looks like different colors have different types of materials.

We also have this one (Amazon link to Vesper Cat Tree, High Base, Walnut, 52045) - the pads were replaceable and I’ve replaced them one time. Looks like we have had it for 8 years and it has held up well.

I’m not completely sure whether these meet the standards of being hypoallergenic - but they are not covered in carpet and they both look nice. The Lotus is the more attractive of the two. Both have been well used by various cats.

I built my own. If you're moderately handy, it's not too hard.

I also built my own. Different approach - it's wedged between the floor and the ceiling with leveling mounts. And you can cover the shelves with whatever you want and make it removeable and launderable or whatever.
