My formerly soft and shiny long hair is now brittle and dull long hair after a month of ocean swimming followed by washing it in hard water. What is the best product to remedy this situation?

My stylist has me use this Malibu Hard Water Wellness stuff and it’s awesome! It’s a powder that you turn into a paste and apply as a treatment in the shower. Once a week or once every 6 washes if you don’t wash your hair every day.

I would try a clarifying shampoo followed by a deep conditioner.

Start sleeping in a silk bonnet. That has done the most to help repair my hair.

Response by poster: Okay, I couldn't find the Malibu stuff in town so I ordered it and then in desperation tried the apple cider vinegar. It worked! I can't believe how much better my hair looks. Maybe even better than before! Super shiny. Thanks!
